Last Thursday Jack and I went to St Ives to participate in the DBB cricket trial. There were 42 boys and only 7 spots were available to go to Lismore for the Polding trials. The weather was very hot so we each took turns batting and bowling with rests in between. Jack batted and bowled very well, but unfortunately was not selected for the next stage. I was lucky enough to be one of the 7 boys selected to go to Lismore.
At Lismore there will be another 42 boys trying out to make the Polding team for the 2016 NSW PSSA carnival. It was a great experience to represent Holy Cross at St Ives and I can’t wait to do it again at Lismore.
