State Swimming -Evie P

My State Swimming by Evie P

As I enter Sydney Olympic Park I could smell the chlorinated water. The day had finally had come. I was swimming at PSSA (Primary School Sports Association).

I had my favourite event up first, the 50m Breastroke. I came 2nd in it and I was over the moon! In Freestyle I came 5th, in the 100m Freestyle I came 4th and in  Backstroke I came 6th . Last but not least butterfly I came 2nd.

As I was leaving I heard my name on the loudspeaker.  The officials said “Evie P, please come down to the fitting room.”

I had no idea what was going on. When I got down there they said I’ve been selected to swim in  the NSW team in the National Competition at Hobart!  I was speechless!

A couple days  later I found out what I was going for, I was Surprised how many events I was going for. I’m going for 100m and 200m Freestyle, 100m and 50m Breaststroke 100m and 50m Butterfly 200m IM and medley relay I’m in Breastroke. I am competing for multi class. Multi class is when you versus the world record in your classification. I’ve been swimming multi class for the past year now. I will be attending nationals July 25th to July the 31st.
