School Community

Our Parish

Holy Cross catholic Parish and Holy Cross Catholic School have a wonderful relationship. The school is seen as an integral part of the broader Parish and is well supported by our Parish Priest, Father Jose as well as the Parish Community. In return the school seeks to play an active part in all aspects Parish life. Fr. Jose willingly takes part in School Masses and Liturgies and brings a beautiful sense of worth and respect of the students to these occasions. As a school, we are involved in the life of the Parish through contributing to some weekend Parish Masses throughout the year, participating in the Parish Sacramental Programs and inviting parishioners to be active in the life of our school.

Our Parish

Holy Cross Parish Kincumber is situated on the Central Coast of N.S.W. Australia, about an hour’s drive north of Sydney. The Catholic Community is strong and vibrant and has experienced rapid growth in the past decade. At the same time as our younger population grows, so does the number of senior members in the Community, (in part due to the establishment of a number of large retirement villages in the area). We are part of the Diocese of Broken Bay and adjoin the Parishes of Woy Woy, East Gosford and Terrigal/Erina. Our Parish traces its roots back to the earliest settlement of N.S.W. and includes the oldest church on the Central Coast (Holy Cross Church in South Kincumber built in 1842), which is also one of the oldest churches in Australia. The parish has its own Bookshop which is open to the public.

The parish brings together the Catholic Communities of Kincumber and surrounding suburbs including South Kincumber, Saratoga, Davistown, Avoca, Copacabana, Bensville, Empire Bay, Kilcare, Pretty Beach and MacMasters Beach.   Parish Priest: Fr Jose
