There is a covered amphitheatre on the lower playground that provides a space for all students to eat and to play quietly during their breaks.
Library (Learning and Resource Centre)
Our Holy Cross Catholic School library holds an extensive selection of books and learning resources for students to borrow. Students attend a library lesson each week with the school librarian and can also access the library during their lunch hour or with their class teachers when the library is available.
At Holy Cross students have access to ‘The Oasis’. The Oasis is a quiet space where students can go when they need some quiet and relaxation. The room provides a range of sensory calming experiences to ensure wellbeing. The Oasis has teacher supervision each lunch and is an area that is used to facilitate social emotional skill development.

Yera House Playgroup
Yera House Playgroup is available on Thursday to parents and caregivers of before school age children in our community. It is a great way to meet other young families in the area and for little people to socialise and learn through play. All welcome to join us each Thursday from 9:30am to 10:45am.
Our Green Classroom is an outdoor space where students learn about sustainability, growing produce and caring for the environment. A gazebo, vegetable patch, chicken coop and worm farm are features of this inviting area.
At Holy Cross a canteen service is provided to our students on Monday and Friday lunch by the company Total Canteen Solutions. Over the counter sales will also be available on Wednesday and Friday recess when parent volunteers are available.
Holy Cross Out of School Hours Care Kincumber
Holy Cross Out of School Hours Care (OOSH) is a service providing children with supervision and care on the School premises before and after school hours, as well as during the school holidays. Before school care is provided from 6:30am until 8:30am. After school care is provided from 3:30pm until 6:00pm. Vacation Care is provided from 6:30am until 6:00pm.
Our experienced team of educators strive to create an environment where each child feels welcome and encouraged to experiment and grow. We have many activities for children. We program our activities around the interests of the children so if there’s something that a child wants to explore, we facilitate that opportunity. Central to this is creating strong relationships with the children. We focus on getting to know each child, their interests and hobbies, so that we can provide the best possible care and the children feel comfortable. We pride ourselves on knowing the children that we care for.
