The excitement and anticipation of Christmas is fast approaching! However, just as this is a Season of Joy, it can be a time of difficulty for many families in our local community.
Unfortunately, not all families will have the experience of writing a Christmas list and planning a wonderful Christmas feast – but there is something we can do to reach out to them at this time!
In the spirit of supporting others, Holy Cross Catholic School has been allocated a number of families in our community who need our help. We are inviting anyone who is able to donate to our annual St Vincent de Paul Christmas Appeal, to allow these families the experience to enjoy the treats of the festive season.
These are items that they might consider a luxury and would not buy for themselves, as well as staple pantry items. Please only give what you can.
The table in the attached flyer indicates which item your child’s grade is being asked to donate. You can begin sending these items in now, with the last day being Friday 1st December (Week 8). This will allow us time to pack and wrap these hampers ready for delivery.
Please remember these items need to be in-date and of a good quality, as these are the treat items these families would not otherwise be able to afford.
