Holy Cross students deliver Christmas cheer!

In the last week of school term for 2022, students from Holy Cross Catholic Primary School in Kincumber visited Waterford Retirement village to deliver over 300 handmade Christmas cards.

Each resident at the village received personalised cards from Holy Cross students. This is something the children put a lot of love and care into creating for their neighbours every year, and they are always very warmly received.

Waterford Retirement Village resident committee couldn’t wait to hand these out and said “From our hearts thank you! This is such a thoughtful tradition. A lot of our residents don’t have family and receiving these cards brightens their day enormously. Some people are still telling jokes from the students they received in their cards last year.”

Well done to Holy Cross’s SRC and Mission Team members (Eva, Neve, Imogen, Grace, Oliver and Annalise) for representing their school community at this very special moment of giving. This is what Christmas is all about!
